“Sotto-Coperta”

NORMALITA’, ECCO COSA DESIDERIAMO

Il genitore della TIN non sa cosa voglia dire normalità. Conosce parole che trovi solo nei libri, un genitore (non sanitario) non dovrebbe conoscere termini quali “parenterale, cpap, emogas” e molte altre. Un genitore dovrebbe viversi il proprio figlio a casa, nella stanza che con amorevoli cure è stata preparata durante la gravidanza. Invece un genitore prematuro spesso diventa genitore prima ancora di iniziare a pensare al nome, gli viene strappata via la gioia dell’attesa, si ritrova in un ambiente sterile pieno di parole pressoché incomprensibili.
La normalità, quella cercano, quella abbiamo cercato anche noi.
Una semplice copertina, un octopus… basta pochissimo per donare un sorriso a questi genitori, basta pochissimo per farli sentire utili. Non possono fare tutte quelle “robe sanitarie” ma possono: rimboccare le coperte al loro bambino prima di salutarlo e tornare a casa la sera.
Un piccolissimo gesto di normalità…
Ed eccoci oggi, l’Associazione attiva il progetto “SOTTO-COPERTA” con nella mente un detto popolare ….

Come per il progetto “In Compagnia di Fuè”, chi desidera aiutarci e contribuire alla realizzazione delle coperti ci invii la richiesta.

NORMALITY, THIS IS WHAT WE DESIRE…

A NICU parent doesn’t know what normality means. He/she knows the words you can find on the books, a parent who is not a health inspector, should not know what words like “parental, cPAP, emogas” mean. A parent should “enjoy” his/her son/daughter at home, in the room that has been lovingly prepared during the pregnancy.  Despite these facts, often a premature parent becomes a parent before thinking about the name of the child, the joy of waiting is taken away from him/her, he/she realizes to be in a barren room full of incomprehensible words.

Normality, it is what they are looking for, it is what we have been looking for, too…
A simple, little blanket, an octopus… it takes just a little to make these parents smile, it takes just a little to make them feel useful. They can’t do all the healthcare staff but they can rolling up the blanket to their child before greeting him/her and going back home in the evening.

A little, normal gesture…

And now we are here, the Organization starts the “Sotto-Coperta” project keeping in mind a popular proverb…
